From the start of the experience I raised concerns that street food can be dicey and whilst our host reassured us, unfortunately we have since this experience been extremely unwell.
Our 2nd food stop came with added insects and the whole route felt very unorganised.
This wasn't a pre-decided route where our host had carefully chosen 'safer' options, but more of a choice random selection of what he fancied. When we got to a couple of stops, we asked questions and he shrugged, no idea what was in certain things we were eating. One of our party was in fact Indian and was able to give us more information than our host.
I think this is more of a social meeting rather than anything educational which we were hoping for.
Please be mindful when doing any food tours in India. We wouldn't risk it again, 'Delhi-belly' is no joke and we've had to rearrange the rest of our trip.

What an incredible food tour! My host, Dipanshu, was incredibly knowledgeable about the local cuisine and culture, and his passion for sharing it made the experience unforgettable. Each tasting was thoughtfully selected and absolutely delicious, but the highlight for me was the fire pan it was equal parts exciting and terrifying! Biting into it was a burst of flavors I genuinely can’t put into words. I also loved how Dipanshu tied in historical context and local insights at every stop, which added so much depth and richness to the tour. Beyond the amazing food, his warmth and engaging personality made me feel completely at ease. It felt less like a tour and more like exploring the city with a good friend.
