april 2025We had an indescribably brilliant experience on this tour. Nowa Huta itself was fascinating, and I'd recommend a visit to anyone visiting Krakow. BUT. Even better if you can do it on this tour. Our host, Tomasz, was hilarious, full of knowledge, and very generous with sharing his experiences growing up in Nowa Huta under communism, and since.
I did this tour with my 13 year old son and it was one of our absolute highlights from our trip to Europe from Australia. We will both remember it forever. There was plenty in the tour for my son, particularly in the way it was presented, and he absorbed way more on this tour than he would have in any history lesson or through any book. I learnt so much too. Strongly recommend!

marts 2025This really was a crazy but brilliant tour! Tomasz was a really informative and fun guide who brought the history of communism in Krakow to life. We made an error in the meeting place (our fault) and Michal sorted it out quickly for us. Thanks both – we’d definitely recommend this – but for anyone booking, just expect the unexpected!

december 2024We had a surreal tour of Nowa Huta which included the abandoned HQ of a steelworks factory and the bomb shelters used during the Cold War.
Our super crazy guide was Tomas. He picked us up from our hotel in Kazimierz in his milicjia vintage Lada. He was hilarious. We had lots of laughter and learnt lots of interesting facts.
A different crazy guide showed us the steel factory and the bomb shelters. He was great and kept our sons, aged 11 and 13, really engaged.
Five stars from adults and children for the tour.
We should have skipped the pierogi to allow time to visit Arka Pana.

august 2024I have always had a fascination with "Ostalgie" and this tour did not disappoint. I had so much fun riding in the vintage Trabant! Our guide shared interesting stories from communist times, walked us around an "ideal" community, and took us to some very cool points of interest. I loved this tour!
