We had an amazing time learning about the native desert flora with Christina! She is incredibly knowledgeable and engaging. We were able to touch, taste, and smell a multitude of plants and learn about their uses in both a modern and ancient context. We loved making and being able to take home our own herbal folk remedy.

Kudos to Christina for being her, for her wisdom and knowledge, and for all the effort she puts into the TNR and cat rescue program she runs largely on her own. Christina, it was so great to meet you and spend the day with you! We learned so much!

Christina a local, and formally trained botanist, who is an absolute wealth of knowledge about desert plants and how they can be utilized holistically. What a rare and unique opportunity to be able to tap into some of her knowledge. I’d highly recommend this tour if learning about high desert flora sounds fun to you.

Christina is so knowledgeable about the local flora around the Joshua Tree area. From bushes and trees to medicinal plants and berries, she gave us so much to appreciate about the landscape and how people have been living off the land there for thousands of years. Didn't hurt that the concoctions we made with local berries and herbs were also totally delicious!

It's easy to see how passionate Christina is about the desert, and we learned a lot! Was definitely a great way to learn more about Joshua Tree/the region, and take the time to appreciate each individual species/plant. Not a super far or challenging hike, more a meander with tons of great information.
