I had an incredible time touring Black Broadway with Marilyn. She immediately felt more like a friend with an extremely extensive knowledge about the history of Black Broadway, than a tour guide. Absolutely loved learning about the historical landmarks and amazing murals we visited, as well as the community that made Black Broadway thrive! 🖤

I was really excited about the tour and about exploring more of the neighborhood, but Marylin spoke extremely fast , I had to ask several times for her to slow down ( English is not my first lenguaje ) She seemed to assume that, as a foreigner, but considering the tour’s purpose was to learn more about the area’s history was hard to follow along and I miss a lot of information. She also seemed a bit impatient when I asked how to spell some of the names she mentioned. The most disappointing part was that we ended the tour at a place that had completely changed, which made it clear that the tour wasn’t up to date.

Absolutely loved the tour, real information from real people. It’s a long walk, dress accordingly— and try the bites along the way. We had a blast! Great tour guide and awesome insight. Must try Ben’s!
