We had a fantastic time with Serena exploring Calascio and Santo Stefano. She was so kind and accommodating of us, and so knowledgeable about the area. It was such a fantastic way to kick off our trip! Highly recommend.

Serena is an absolutely fantastic guide. She brought the landscape and history alive for us. She is so knowledgeable and thoughtful, and does a wonderful job explaining this magical place. I am sure we will take a trip with her again.

The hike is not at all any easy one, primarily due to the trail having multiple small loose rocks at times. It is advertised as one a 6 year old could do, but not the average 6 yr olds in my world. Adults also should be in reasonable physical shape to enjoy this tour to its fullest. Beautiful scenery and a very cool ancient remains of Rocco. Also the village of Santo Stefano is quite special to experience with its own history and little shops. This is a great value and provided a full 5+ hours of physical activity.

Serena is a delight and we had such a lovely morning with her. The hike up to Rocca Calascio was fantastic and beautiful. It does involve some steep elevation change and its mostly rocky terrain, so prepare accordingly.

After the hike, Serena showed us around Santo Stefano briefly (since we weren’t staying in town). She has so much great local knowledge about the whole region, and we learned a lot. She also saved us when we got our rental car stuck and was able to help us get the car moving - she really went above and beyond :)

We hope to be back in the area to take another tour with Serena!
