Probably one of my worst Airbnb experiences, amenities are half missing, host is passive aggressive and threatening. Noisy since you are next to main roads, shared compound wakes you up at odd hours with honking from neighbours coming in or going out. I'm surprised such listening are still on Airbnb platform.
He tried to blackmail me by hiding behind his charity work while offering no solution and asking me to leave rather.

The tour through Kibera was a memorable experience and I am grateful for the opportunity to get a better understanding of this part of Nairobi. Vincent was a very knowledgeable guide and I felt safe throughout the tour. Furthermore, the costs for the tour go directly to the foundation to support community work in Kibera. I would highly recommend the tour!

This is a meaningful experience for anyone who wants to learn about Kibera and gain insight into life in one of the largest urban slums in Africa. At no point did we feel unsafe, even as we were guided deep into the heart of the community.

We truly appreciated learning how residents support one another and strive to earn an honest living despite the difficult conditions. This experience isn’t just for international visitors. It’s also valuable for anyone living in Nairobi who wants a deeper understanding of Kibera and its people.

It’s also reassuring to know that the fees we paid help fund free education and meals for local children, making the visit even more impactful.

Vincent and Alex showed us around Kibera. It was very interesting and we felt completely safe throughout. I would recommend anyone who visits Nairobi to try this tour as you get to engage with the realities of poverty without the focus being wholly negative.
