I live with my husband in a graphical village close to Rethymnon, the place where I was born, raised and created a family of my own. Our house is like a small farm. There’s a courtyard with lots of flowers and a garden with aromatic herbs, vegetables and small animals like rabbits, chickens and sometimes even sheep and pig. In our estate we produce our own olive oil. My hobby is cooking traditional Cretan cuisine recipes, with olive oil, homemade cheese, fresh vegetables, aromatic herbs and local meat.

This Greek cooking class was truly one of the best activities we’ve ever done! It’s a group experience where everyone helps prepare different dishes, taking turns with fun cooking tasks. The hosts are a wonderful couple with years of experience – warm, welcoming, and so attentive. After the cooking, we enjoyed a lovely tour of the herb garden before sitting down together to enjoy the amazing food. The atmosphere was cozy and friendly. We even received a small gift, could take leftovers home, and later got the recipes by email. They also took photos throughout, which was a great bonus. Everything felt genuine and heartfelt – an unforgettable evening that we recommend to anyone visiting Crete!
