Vasilis was an excellent host! I was able to try so many unique wines with flavor profiles that I had never tried before and I learned a ton about the different regions, Greek grapes and winemaking history - it was all fascinating. He’s so knowledgeable and shares interesting information! The location is absolutely stunning - the cellar and the rooftop were gorgeous settings to enjoy the wine! As an added bonus, Vasilis also gave me great recommendations for traditional Greek food and a full itinerary for my next day in Athens to walk along the coast! I would highly recommend adding Wine Tasting with Vasilis to your Athens adventures!!

We tasted 4 whites, one rose and 3 reds. The location couldn't be better. Rooftop with great views of the Acropolis. There were no other guests, just me and my wife and Vasilis had to leave for Italy the same evening. He still went ahead with the experience. He explained the different wine growing regions in Greece, the grapes, characteristics. At the end, he also gifted us a couple of bottles (one white and one red) from his winery (Vasilis is a sommelier and a wine maker).

The most comprehensive wine tasting tour we have ever done. The tour happened at the rooftop of the restaurant Listor and I don’t think there’s a better view anywhere of both the acropolis and ancient agora. We tasted 4 whites, 1 rose, 3 reds. The host makes you feel super comfortable and explains the notes and flavors of each wine. As a gift, he let me and husband pick one bottle each of the wine we liked the most and take it back.

Vasilis is an extremely knowledgeable person who made this wine tasting an outstanding experience. The wine selection was representing all the big wine regions of Greece and he gave a structure to the tasting that allowed for a lot of learning while leaving space for personal connection. I can only recommend Vasilis’s wine tasting course and his restaurant ❤️!
