This is a good base for a walk up Colman’s hill or into the holloways which are both a great walk. It’s got a lovely cafe, farm shop and home shop selling some lovely stuff. They also have a bike shop here where you can hire bikes for the day

there's a lovely circular walk from the village up to the iconic Colmer's Hill. You can have lunch back in the village at the Symondsbury Kitchen or in the village pub.

Symondsbury village is the quintessential English village with the added extras of a beautiful art gallery, restaurant, local produce shop, Health and beauty salon, independent jeweller, bike shop, pub, all at the foot of the iconic Colmers hill.
