For more experienced hikers, this 10-mile trail loop has a moderate but steady incline but once you get to the top, the views are totally worth it! Consider also taking the 1-mile detour to Panoramic Point for even more amazing views. Along the trail, you can find ruins for a hotel, a railroad, and an observatory. It's a long hike and much of it isn't shaded so make sure you bring plenty of water and sunscreen.

You can hike during the day or at night. This is an iconic trail that leads up to an old hotel that was destroyed by wind and fire and was eventually abandoned. Lots of remnants still remain and expect lots of visitors. We enjoyed hiking here at night when we lived in Pasadena.

A great spot to hike to or even drive to with the best view imaginable of Southern California. Warning: It's a really intense and long hike. This is also a mountain bike trail.
