If you like big open spaces, you’ll feel at home in this cafe. The exterior doesn’t reveal much from the street, but it really opens up inside. The spaciousness means great acoustics for record player jams, and there’s stadium-like seating where you can plop down with your coffee and enjoy a sweet or savory pastry while watching the bakers at work. Their iced cafe tonic is a drink I haven’t seen on any other coffee menu. It’s a double shot of espresso served over ice with citrus hints of orange zest and fizzy Q Drinks brand tonic water.

Noe Valley is known for moms and baby strollers, so it was surprising to find this inconspicuous pastry shop along 24th St. Make sure to get the croissant with orange blossom and zaatar. If you're not sure where it is, just look for the group of people waiting outside the small shop for their order to come out.
