To get there by car is around 5 hours drive east then south. But there is another way. There is a special boat leaving from Fort Myers. Though it only gives you 3 or 4 hours to play down there, you leave in the morning, arrive mid day, play all afternoon, then leave around dinner time. We have done this and was a great way to take in Key West without the added expense of a hotel down there.
