A must see! You can park for free down the Wynding. The views of the castle are fantastic so be sure to take your camera. You can also see the Farne Islands and Holy Island on a clear day.

Beautiful Beach with parking and toilet facilities in the village of Bamburgh. Overlooked by the Historic castle, this really is worth the twenty minute journey.

With the brooding ramparts of one of the UK’s most iconic castles to one side and the world famous Farne Islands on the other, the vast swathe of dune-fringed sands of Bamburgh beach makes for a dramatic visit. There’s plenty of space for everyone to spread out - from families to dog walkers and horse riders - and enjoy the open expanse of sands here. Voted one of the North East’s top surf spots, watch surfers vie to catch a break while soaring kite surfers perform daredevil leaps above the waves.

With an iconic castle which was the seat of the former Kings of Northumbria, lifeboat heroine Grace Darling, who is buried there, an extensive Blue Flag awarded beach good for surfing & walking, a range of pubs & restaurants, Bamburgh is really the jewel in the crown of northumberland. Gets busy!
