Closest beach to the cottage, plenty of parking all along the track but does get busy on a hot day! Lovely wide beaches and if you’re up early enough you may be lucky to spot dolphins.

If you are looking to explore Northumberlands Area of Natural Beauty, follow the cliffs from the end of Spittal Promenade to Cocklawburn beach! Not a short walk by any means, but if you want to see the best views Berwick has to offer and the weather is on your side, pack yourself a picnic and head on out!

Probably one of the best beaches to get away from the pack. Located in a nature preservation area, this beach has sand, hills, dunes, and rocky cliffs. There is also a bike trail that goes further towards another beach for those who want to see a bit more of the sea.,

A gorgeous beach, stretches of sand and rock, often you will be the only ones there. Great for dog walks, fossil hunting, enjoying the fresh air
