In the summer, Vermonters flock to the rivers and gorges to stay cool. This is one of our favorites. Bring a swimsuit on warmer days, but also great for a short hike on cool ones.

Huntington Gorge is beautiful but has been deadly as well, but downstream from the gorge the Huntington River widens out into a series of beautiful swimming holes that are very approachable. On hot summer days there is nothing quite like it.

Great swim spot also gorgeous. One piece of advice....bring swimming shoes. The rocks may hurt your feet. For the young or fit.
