The New Orleans Museum or Art and Botanical Gardens are in walking distance and can be done in the same day or you could rent a kayak on the bayou.

Only 4 blocks from the home, a really nice place to relax and enjoy the New Orleans Bayou. Bring a cooler and have a couple drinks while you're out there.

Great waterway to relax by, picnic, go for a run, or join in on a game of Volleyball. The bayou is a short walk up Dumaine.
