This is a secret hideaway that is a must visit. It is run by a charity and low risk offenders. Jailhouse Café The Verne, on Portland, has now re-opened to the public. Situated through HMP The Verne’s tunnel at the top of Portland, in the heart of the World Heritage Site, the café enjoys panoramic views over Weymouth Bay, Portland harbour, and all along the Jurassic Coast. Open from 17th May
