Enjoy a fusion of Athenian chic with California's laid back style. Leave the car behind- everything is walkable once you’re here. We cushioned, polished, shined, and air-conditioned everything. This is your refuge in the city. Relax in style only moments from one of the world's greatest wonders. Athena's Hideaway is our gem. It's the place we've always aspired to stay in, and when we couldn't find it, we built it. We blended a fusion of Athenian chic with California's laid back conveniences. To that end we cushioned, polished, shined, and air-conditioned everything we could. Instead of one bathroom, we put 3, all with full time hot water (no need to turn on the water heater and wait) and North American style showers. Instead of having to chose between a breeze-less open window, or cold processed air from the air conditioning, we put ceiling fans in each room to give a third option if desired. And we also put in a usable kitchen and washer/dryer for our guests who decide to stay for a bit longer. Most importantly, we offer all of this right in the heart of Athens, with easy access to all the sights and the fantastic metro system. All supported with stellar service from our family. Our goal was simple- a hideout in Athens without compromise. You'll have to see Athena's Hideaway for yourself to believe it. I (Alexi) will be available to support you throughout your stay via AirBnB, iMessage, Whats App, phone, and email. My cousin (Antonis) is a hospitality super-star and is in Athens to make your stay as convenient as possible. Antonis is an Athenian local, though he speaks fluent English (and even does great cowboy accents!). He's available via Viber, iMessage, and Phone to assist you during your stay. Typically Antonis will greet you and answer any initial questions you may have. After that, simply send us a message if you need anything :-) Athena's Hideaway sits right off Ermou street and Syntagma square. This is the beating heart of Athens. From here you can experience Athen's best shopping and Plaka's world- renowned bohemian and ancient charm. This is the best location in Athens. The apartment is located right off of Ermou Street near Syntagma Square. From there the acropolis, the city's best shopping, and all of Athens' best sights are a short stroll away. For those who want to venture even further, buses and the metro system are all available at Syntagma Square, approximately 200 meters away. No compromises!
