A perfect getaway location for those seeking a calm nature retreat, or those needing a place to crash during hunting season, after work hours, or for a family get-together. Each bedroom has a full-sized bed and storage space. The living room contains a queen-sized futon and queen-sized pull-out sofa sleeper, comfortably sleeping 6 to 8 people. Full kitchen, bathroom, and laundry room for the same comforts as home.

Inspired by a swatch of wallpaper found in the attic, 'Poppy's Place' is decorated to bring you back in time to the 1930's. Bright, bold and cheerful colors were introduced into homes at that time to help keep people inspired during the dust bowl of the Great Depression. The 1930’s was the decade that fell directly in between WWI and WWII and Poppy Flowers were, and still are, a symbol of hope and remembrance for fallen soldiers. Office offers a day bed.

The Lodge of South Owl

Only one mile south from historic Yates Center Square, within 30 minutes of three state parks and two city lakes. This house is perfect for being close to town but experiencing the country life. The house is located down a dead-end. With this house being located on top of a hill, you can appreciate the Kansas sunsets and overlooking South Owl Creek from the deck. There is a carport available. Pets are welcome with a $25 pet fee.

Located rurally (3 miles south of Chanute, Ks), we are listed as one of the top ten attractions with numerous flower beds, a historic 1874 stone schoolhouse, a Retail Soap Shop located in a restored barn (handcrafted soaps are made here on site), and the Summit Hill Gardens Event Center- for hosting celebrations of life.
