Atelier was inspired by painting holidays in France. It is a spacious studio at Hylands providing a base for escape, rest and adventure. It is cosy with a wood burner, uses high quality materials throughout, curated with love and care. Surrounded by beautiful gardens to explore, where you can dine al fresco or just sit and watch the wildlife and the ever changing views. It is 12 minutes walk to Kendal's many independent shops and restaurants, and 5 minutes to our local pub, the 'Riflemans Arms'.

Located at the end of a narrow track, it is surrounded by woodland, fields and two streams. The retreat is totally secluded, but still just a minutes walk to Sedbergh's lovely pubs and cafes. It's the perfect base: head out walking in the hills straight from your door or use our electric bikes to explore the quiet lanes. When you get back, soak in the wood fired hot tub and enjoy a drink on the terrace while admiring the wonderful view of the fells.

The Annex; idyllic getaway for fell walking

A self contained studio annexe within our family home just on the outskirts of Sedbergh. You will have your own entrance and use of an outside space with table and chairs. The parking area provides direct access into the annex with a full kitchen, with a compact dining table with chairs and shower room. A king size bed for your comfort with a comfortable chair to relax in. There is underfloor heating throughout and an electric towel rail in the bathroom. A welcome pack is provided.
