We have two kayaks that you may use during your stay. This is a great location only 5 miles to Oriental and just 30 miles to visit New Bern. We have a 50 inch Roku TV in living room. Humphrey House nestled in Oriental, NC

In 2015 we had traveled the eastern coastline looking for a place we could settle into as our vacation home. When we drove over the bridge into Oriental to look at property, it brought on the nostalgia of when we had visited Exuma in the Bahamas; the small town feeling where local arts, festivals and personalties made it unique. A town that you could step off the front porch and stroll to the town beach or walk to dinner.

Keep it simple at this peaceful and centrally-located place. Restaurants within 1 mile from the home. Boat dock and fishing pier about 1/2 mile. Neuse river is a bike ride away with another fishing pier 2 pickle ball courts and playground less than 1/2 mile from the house. A stop for greenway cyclists and a hugh area for sail boat novoelists. You can take the Minnesott ferry on your way to Atlantic Beach.
