Kihachikan South Nozawa Onsen

Kihachikan South is a luxurious and homely family chalet. It has three bedrooms; one double, one twin and one smaller single room. The light filled, open plan kitchen and living room features a locally made oak kitchen that includes a Miele oven and induction hob and Miele dishwasher. The kitchen is fully supplied with all the main amenities including; a rice cooker, toaster, microwave, coffee machine and full cooking utensils should they be required. The comfy sofa seating area focusses around a cast iron pellet stove and the latest Bang & Olufsen television and sound system including live feed from the ski hills and Netflix. The daily readings from the traditional barograph will keep you ahead of the weather apps …….. possibly! The bedrooms maintain a traditional feel with shoji windows, wooden beams and authentic wall coverings with the addition of discreet blinds, wooden flooring and western style beds. The bedroom wardrobes in Japanese oak were made to order in Nagano. The bathrooms include walk in showers with locally made hinoki shower benches. The upstairs bathroom with both slate and wooden flooring also contains a separate seating area and large bath tub. The upstairs bathroom enjoys great views over to Togari and Mount Myoko. Dyson hair dryers are supplied in the two main bedrooms. The artwork throughout the Kihachikan South is a mixture of original Japanese woodblock prints and an extensive collection of original 16th & 17th century antique maps of Asia. Kihachikan South has a Miele washing machine and separate Miele clothes dryer.The ski, board and boot room is downstairs and shared with Kihachikan North and contains snow shoes for guest use (when available).

Koshikake Home is a hand-cut log house on a 1,000m highland, about 25 minutes by car from Nagano Station. Surrounded by nature, it offers a quiet and private place to relax and enjoy a slower pace of life. Zenkoji Temple and Togakushi Shrine are nearby. Iizuna Resort and Togakushi Ski Area are both within 20 minutes. Hakuba and Snow Monkey part are easy day trips. Your Japanese-Canadian hosts speak both Japanese and English and are happy to help during your stay.

Kalik House: Japanese style home in NozawaOnsen

Kalik House is a traditional, warm Japanese house located in the centre of the Nozawa Onsen village. It’s an easy walk to everything that you may need. The shops and most of the restaurants are less than 5 minutes walk and the slopes are only 10 minutes.
