We serve an optional full breakfast downstairs in the historic original Swahili house. We have a beautiful breezy rooftop with comfortable day beds for all our guests to enjoy. Jamala House is centrally located near Lamu Fort in the historic oldest part of Lamu. It is a quiet and private resort with a relaxing garden rebuilt to a high standard and reopened in 2018. All rooms have private baths with hot water. Jamala features a common kitchen, seating area and a rooftop with a great view of the sea. A continental breakfast can be enjoyed in the breakfast area. Sightseeing tours are available close to the property and dhow services can be arranged at a fair rate.

Andavelo House is a centuries old beautifully recently restored six-suite patrician house set in the old town of Lamu, Kenya. Andavelo House has nearly 800 m2 with beatifully appointed custom made furniture in all the suites and common areas. Our house is fully staffed. Daily cleaning and basic amenities are provided. Breakfast and meal cooking services are provided at a fee upon request. Our staff can assist you with booking a dhow or provide you information on any local attractions.
