The room includes a Queen bed, private courtyard, sea view balcony, fridge, tea/coffee facilities, and BBQ area. Perfect for both relaxing weekends and adventurous travelers, with fishing, surfing, and hiking nearby. The drive requires a 4x4 vehicle. If you don't have your own, we can help organise a car hire during your stay. Alternatively, pick up & drop off shuttles are available on the island.

Enjoy meals on the covered deck as kaka swoop overhead and curious little moho pereru run around. Take a soak in the outdoor bath surrounded by native bush with a view of the beach and gorgeous sunsets. With a hot outdoor shower, kayaks to use and a comfortable queen bed you'll have all you need for an off-grid getaway.

The Patch, surf, fish & dive cabin on Barrier.

Surf, fish & dive for adventurous couples. The Patch is located in front of the Shark Alley surfbreak near Medlands. 2 cabins joined by a deck. Amenities include 230V solar power, outdoor hot shower with decent pressure & tons of water, a Webber BBQ, water filter, F&P dishwasher, a kayak, 2 surfboards (1x foam, 1 x Epoxy). What it doesn't have: a bathroom, we currently use the kitchen sink, toilet is a longdrop. There is excellent Wifi, thanks to our Starlink dish.
