Cairns House - Stunning Church Conversion

Cairns House is a stunning church conversion that really has the wow factor. Built in 1878 and converted into a stylish contemporary home set in Stichill, a pretty Borders village, 3 miles north of Kelso. It is the ideal venue for family and/or friends celebrating that special occasion or used as a base when holidaying in the beautiful Scottish Borders. The area is popular with walkers and cyclists and the historic town of Kelso is well known for its abbey, race course and good restaurants.

A House on the Hill: Highfield farm cottage (4+1)

Highfield cottage is a stone-built house on a hill at Hillhouse Farm Escapes in the Scottish Borders. This old shepherd's house is renovated to a modern & cosy standard. It has a superb kitchen with range cooker and large dining table, a huge lounge and two generous bedrooms (one is en-suite). Best of all is the stunning rural location with incredible views. It's an easy one-mile walk to a pub. Dog friendly. The house next door, a Little House on the Hill (Herniecleugh), is also available.

Peaceful and homey self-contained accommodation - a separated annexe to our home. It is on the outskirts of Dunbar but within walking distance (~25 mins). Tucked behind new housing but your back garden is private. We are close to beautiful beaches and golf courses. Fresh milk, butter, cereals, coffee and something to toast are provided. Ideal for exploring the Lothians /Northumbria, or to just chill. Farm track road so please note the lower end of the road is prone to potholes in sections.

Curlew Cottage, Meadshaw Farm is remote and peaceful, with stunning views of the rolling hills. It is 9 miles from the Scottish Borders town of Hawick. 1 well behaved dog is welcome. Relax in the cosy cottage, or spend an evening in front of the fire in the lovely, old shepherd's hut. Great local walks, cycle routes, dark skies and peace and quiet await you. The Roman & Reivers Route, a long distance trail, runs past the cottage to the tiny hamlet of Craik and beyond.

We are within half an hour's drive from the beach and railway stations. You’ll love Stichill Stables because of the views and the peaceful location. Our place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travellers who have their car. We can also accommodate a child / third person if required. We are in a fairly rural location, the nearest shops, bars and restaurants being approximately four miles away in the town of Kelso in the Scottish Borders.
