Located on a farm in the heart of Amish country and amid one of the largest concentrations of antiques in America, we are central to many attractions, yet quaint and secluded enough to provide a relaxing retreat. The Covered Bridge Cottage started out in the 1800’s as a mill office and over the years was converted into a home through several additions. The house has been in our family for close to a century and it was our honor to restore it to a comfortable, energy efficient, durable home.

The town of Ephrata, Shady Maple Smorgasbord, Ephrata Cloister & Green Dragon Farmers Market all approx 10 minute drive from the home. Enjoy a walk to brewpubs, coffee shops, parks, and even live theater. There is a linear park (rail) trail very close by for walks, jogging, or biking. There is a seasonal bike rental shed at the trail parking lot! If you'd like more excitement, Lancaster, Hershey, the outlets, and 'Amish' attractions are only 15-40min!

The Photographer's Cottage (by paved rail trail)

Welcome to the quaint and happy town of Ephrata. Our cottage is exactly a one mile walk from downtown eateries and activities. Take the sidewalk or the picturesque Linear Park rail trail straight to Main Street. The famous Green Dragon outdoor market (on fridays) is a couple miles away. Many nearby parks and markets attract locals and tourists alike. We had fun decorating the cottage with a bright, industrial and camera/photo theme. We look forward to hosting you.

Walk or ride your bike 1 block and your on the beautiful scenic RAIL-TRAIL with easy access to Ephrata, Akron and Lititz! FYI -If you are bringing your pet, the fee is $25. We love longer stays and offer a 5% discount for 7 days and 10% for 30 days! Come relax and enjoy the view!
