The Old Reading Room West Stafford, Dorset.

The Victorian Reading Room of West Stafford is of historical importance. Used before the war as a Reading Room for the villagers and estate workers, the newspapers were provided, the village shop in the late 1930s, then a workshop and a store room for the church. We have now lovingly restored, decorated and furnished this amazing building into a cosy self catering holiday retreat, "far from the madding crowd" Open plan, comfy double sofabed, wood burner, country walks and fabulous village pub.

The Summer Lodge boasts uninterrupted views of the Fleet Lagoon and world famous Chesil Beach from its elevated position on the South West Coast Path (Jurassic Coast). Located just one mile from the Isle of Portland, the home of the 2012 Olympic sailing events and a short drive from Weymouth town centre and harbour, our stunning holiday home is perfectly situated for anyone wanting a coastal escape. Our sea view lodge sleeps 6 people. There are 2 double bedrooms and a small double sofa bed.

The Outback Cabin

Relax with the whole family at this peaceful place to stay. There is a super king memory foam bed as well as a sofa which pulls out into a double bed. The bedroom leads directly into a bathroom equipped with walk in electric shower, toilet and sink. There is a small kitchenette area which hosts a fridge, microwave, toaster and kettle. Tea and coffee is supplied. There is a 5 seat hot tub at the side of the cabin for use whilst staying at the property as well as outdoor patio furniture.

The property comes with access to high speed WiFi, Sky Q and is fully fitted with fire alarms and a CO2 alarm. The location provides excellent transport links to surrounding local attractions including The Jurassic Coast - a World Heritage Site.

Annies Annex

The property is light & airey, close to the local beach’s and Sandsfoot Castle. It has free street parking, and is close to main bus routes to Portland & WeymouthTown. Alternatively we are close to a beautiful trail which leads to Weymouth town with views to Portland and the local beaches. Close to many local takeaways and amenities. The hosts live in the adjoining bungalow and are close on hand if needed. This is an eco friendly property powered by solar energy.

The property offers ample space for 6 guests across three stunningly finished bedrooms, and our outdoor terrace provides al fresco to unwind after a day exploring everything Dorset has to offer. The Palms is perfectly located for a coastal getaway, with both the town centre just a short 20 minute walk away and the seaside only a stones throw away.
