Nestled in the mountains of Nagano at an elevation of 860 meters (2,821 feet), this is a luxury home exclusively for those who want to escape tourist traps, experience a side of Japan rarely seen by outsiders, and do it in style. Our 3-bedroom home is 200 sq. meters (2153 sq. feet) large and is a marriage between traditional Japanese architecture and modern technology and comfort. The home is accessible from Tokyo and other major cities via the Shinkansen bullet train or Joshin-etsu Expressway.

Renovated to be open, modern and spacious our chalet is only 20 minutes drive from Nagano City, Togakushi and Iizuna ski resorts. It is less than 5 minutes walk (or 1 min drive) to some cafes and restaurants and the new Nagano Forest Village. There, you can buy local produce, craft beers & wine, and walk around the beautiful area. We recommend driving to explore more around the highlands and snow tires (or chains) are a must have during winter. We are 1080m above sea level, its cool in summer!

The Guest House Japan Asama was produced by the team used to work for a well known airline marketing team. The main concepts of the stay are "nature", "specious" and "hospitality". There is the public Onsen which is most likely used by locals and also, good Yakiniku shop and Soba within walking distance. Because the room is compact and cozy, it is the best choice for up to 4 people family or group. It has kitchen, bath, restroom, washstand are provided along with dining by 1 Western-room and 1 Japanese-room.
