It is in a very remote and serene setting but is only a few miles from town and major trailheads. Every room provides endless views; watching the sun rise over Lily Rock from the living room and master bedroom can not be missed! The vast lower deck is perfect for relaxing, taking in the lovely views, or stargazing at night. You will never forget the time you spend here.

The Wood Pile Inn getaway

Kick back and relax in this calm, stylish space. This historic cabin built in 1920 was recently refurbished to its old charm with some modern upgrades for your comfort. The original owner of the Cabin was an author named Catherine Woods. She wrote the very first book on the history of Palomar Mountain; Teepee to Telescope. You'll find a copy in the cabin for a good read.Lots of natural light make this little cabin feel spacious, the windows throughout the cabin offer a beautiful forest view.

Cranberry Cabin

Enjoy the lovely setting of this romantic cozy cabin on the top of the mountain. Newly updated and ready to be your basecamp for the Palomar adventures . This is a tiny home, 19' x 11' (the bedroom is 11x11ft). Max sleeping capacity: 2 adults and one child under age 5. No AC. Max 2 dogs stay free - disclose bringing them. $100 cat cleaning fee on top of our $50 cleaning fee, and we will charge $200 if you fail to disclose your cat(s). I'm highly allergic to cats and so might be other guests.

The loft-style Cozy Cabin is uniquely private for the Pine Cove area and a short drive to downtown Idyllwild. Its nestled on a half-acre of wooded land to ensure lots of time to disconnect in peace. For the cold nights, a wood burning stove and heater provide warmth and comfort, along with lots of blankets. A coffee bar and complimentary snacks are there for the taking. Cedar Crest

Cedar Crest is a nicely remodeled cabin while keeping its original charm. It is easy access. A few steps lead you to the deck in the middle of the trees... This cabin can sleep 2 people in a king bed and if you would like to bring your kids, the master bedroom has a full size futon. (Kids sleep free) For pet owner, the east side of the cabin has a fenced-in space. We recommend you do not let them be there unsupervised as a motivated mountain lion could jump the fence and arm your pet.

The jacuzzi, AC and heat are all in working order. A million stars and no cars at 4200’ elevation. Stay in a 25' renovated 1990's trailer with AC and a 280 sq ft covered deck with misters and fan, propane grill and PRIVATE JACUZZI! Dedicated WiFi bridge insures solid connectivity. Fresh air, no crowds, nice local trails. Local wineries and restaurants are tasty. Wifi is great. TV with Roku indoors; bluetooth speakers on the deck, and cows in the pasture. It’s a peaceful get-away!

Treetop Hideout is a classic alpine chalet perched high on the ridge overlooking Idyllwild village, surrounded by panoramic views of the San Jacinto mountains. This secluded, quiet little cabin is for all forest lovers, but would be most enjoyed by folks with an adventurous spirit (see Winter Access). You will be greeted with the stillness of the woods, sunrise + sunset views from two cantilevered balconies, all while wrapped in a cozy, luxurious interior.
