This 1946 "caretakers" cabin sits high on a hill over looking the spectacular views of the Mississippi basin farmland. Our cozy one bedroom with loft cabin has much to offer in a private setting. The kids will enjoy the ladder stairs to their own special indoor camping/sleeping area. The kitchen is fully equipped for preparing meals or enjoy the outdoor kitchen on the large patio with a Green Egg or Weber gas grill, and built in stone fire pit. Genevieve National Historical Park. It is a 10 minute walk to the main part of downtown and other historic tour sites. Adjoins Early American gift shop called Sassafras Creek Originals which is housed in the circa 1850 Brooks house. Close to wineries, biking and hiking.

This primitive cabin is a great way to connect with nature, while still being able to retreat indoors at night. Unique space but primitive, has electricity, no running water inside the cabin. You will have amazing lake views and will be close to hiking trails, horseback riding, and wine tasting at Edg Clif Wineries which is next door to us. The newly remodeled shower house has restrooms and hot showers and it is within walking distance.
