Be a country person for the weekend, stay in a 200 year old stable block, super light, with vaulted ceilings. A large sitting room, big bedroom, up a step to the kitchen/diner and bathroom. The newly fitted kitchen has sink, microwave, hob, and fridge/freezer. Also a sofabed. National Trust houses, historic Mayfield, village walks and the South Downs nearby. Small dogs welcome. The cottage overlooks the cutting gardens. A Private seating areas & wifi good for a working retreat!

Set in the beautiful grounds of a fifteenth century Wealden hall house, The Stables is a delightful oak framed cottage - a hidden-away and peaceful haven for two. Our Idyllic cottage which is set in the country side overlooking the north downs, which offers two guest accommodation. It is separate from the main family home which offers a cosy/secluded space with an open-plan kitchen and living area. It is a relaxing place to spend many an hour watching the wildlife and enjoying the sights and sounds of Kent We have installed for your enjoyment day & night vision cameras so you can watch the birds and ducks by day and badgers and foxes at night.

Enjoy this cosy but spacious room, it has its own entrance with a south facing patio and garden. An ensuite shower room and super king size bed. The room has lovely views,and private garden over looking a tree lined paddock, full of wildlife. Enjoy an early morning cuppa whilst relaxing in the super king size bed, or a evening glass of wine on the patio, and you may even see an owl swooping and foraging for food. There is a great pub only a short 5 minute walk away.
