Guests can go for walks on the farm. (If you have questions about ostrich farming, please ask us. We are happy to share information with you.) Or you can relax outside while your children play safely in or outside. We have a beautiful view over the Swartberg Mountains that you can enjoy while sitting outside.

Privacy and space is important to some extinguished guests..... The doors open onto your own garden where you can relax under the trees or enjoy the hot Karoo sun on the pool lounger. In winter the fireplace heats up the entire suite right to your bath when you feel like floating in the water with the crackle of wood to complete a romantic breakaway.

Large garden full of fruit trees and birds. Please note that most of our guests who book for one night regret not staying longer, so we do recommend longer stays if you have the time!

This lovingly restored cottage, built in 1878, is on the Coetzee family’s 4th generation working ostrich farm in the small Karoo valley of Kandelaarsrivier. Huis Kandelabra is just outside Oudtshoorn on the main route to Mossel Bay.
