The Treehouse: Off-grid Retreat

Shaded in a canopy of macrocarpa trees at the base of Mt Taranaki national park, The Treehouse is a grown-up childhood sanctuary. Built from recycled materials, a repurposed spiral staircase takes you up the multiple levels of The Treehouse to a secluded living space nestled between the trees. Kick back in the canopy, swoop on the swings or shoot down the slide. This self-contained treehouse is powered by renewable energy and is only a short drive to New Plymouth, local beaches and the mountain.

A semi-detached 2 bedroom apartment overlooking park like surroundings & view of Oakura Beach & the Tasman Sea. A very short walk will have the sand between your toes and/or a dip in the sea. Entry into the apartment is via your own front door with an outside lock-box holding the key. The apartment has 2 good size bedrooms, both with wardrobes for storage. Bath robes are supplied for up to 4 guests. In the well appointed lounge/dining room area you will also find a TV, CD player & FM radio.

Surf and Sleep

Looking for a spot to rest your head after a day of exploring Taranaki, look no further. This one bedroom unit has all you need to relax and unwind. The bedroom, with ensuite, has a comfy king bed with tropical garden views. Bringing the kids? The ecosa couch folds out in the lounge. Please let us know as we need to provide additional linen/pillows. The kitchenette has all you need to whip up a meal and a dishwasher to take care of the clean up. Unique beachfront dunetop location in one of the best locations for surf in NZ. Almost private reef and beach breaks right out in front and some of NZ's best surf breaks within a short drive. Recently renovated 2 bedroom house with deck elevated out above the sand dunes. Unobstructed 180 degree views from ocean, across farmland to Mount Taranaki. Extremely private with coastal remote feel but only 5min from Opunake's cafes, pubs and "NZ's best" award winning Fish & Chip shop.

Private little apartment located downstairs from main house. All to yourself with sun drenched court yard. Modern kitchen and bathroom. Comfy bed.Also has pull out double sofa bed and we have a porta cot available. Ranch slider opens to colorful flower and herb garden. quiet cul de sac with reserve just minutes away. Off street parking. .Netflix, Beach/shops/restaurants in walking distance. Kaitake Golf Course just up the road. Butlers Bar and Cafe, Such a special little place.

Oakura Studio

Kick back and relax in this calm, stylish space. The studio is separate, fully fenced, lovely and private. It includes a relaxing little Zen garden area. The TV includes Netflix. The kitchenette has a microwave, toaster, Nespresso coffee machine, coffee pods, kettle & fridge. The stunning Oakura surf beach and Black Sand Pizzeria is just a 15 minute walk away, the cute little Oakura village, cafes and restaurants, a 12 minute walk away, and the Kaitake Ranges a 15 minute walk.

The Gingerbread House

Your space is located inside my Gingerbread House which is also home to "The Chocolate Lady". Sleep inside the Sweetest Bedroom Ever imagined or step into an Enchanted Forest Bedroom... The entrance is also the dining/lounge/library. The kitchenette has a jug, toaster, microwave, multicooker and electric frying pan. The bathroom and toilet are separate. The entrance is currently unfinished and this is reflected in the charge out rate!
