WELCOME Now open for 2026 and looking forward to greeting guests both new and old. Built under the guidance of a wheelchair using friend we have provided most, but not all, of the facilities to suit less mobile visitors, although everyone is more than welcome to stay with us. It is rustic themed and located around 5 mls (8km) from the A1 and 3 (5km) from the M62 motorway, with good road/rail and bus links. All our guests have the full private use of the detached annexe during their stay.

York is 20 min by car. Country Houses , Sledmere, Castle Howard and Burton Agnes are all within a 30 minute drive. Family/ friends, Male or Female groups welcome. The Carthouse at Millinder House is located on the ground floor with step free level access, wide doorways, lots of space and an accessible shower room / wet room. Access to a shared garden and picnic area with barbeque for that sunny moment. There is a two bedroom cottage, the Granary above the Carthouse which is also available to book on Airbnb.
