Elton Guest House Family Suite

Elton Guest House is a former farm house lovingly restored by the current owner. Close to Matlock and Bakewell and attractions such as Chatsworth House. The grounds feature ample parking in our cobbled courtyard and an old lamp post and water pump on the frontage. The family suite consists of two bedrooms, one large bed sitter with a double and twin beds and a separate twin room and en suite bathroom. Breakfast is included in the price. Within easy reach of Alton Towers, Chatsworth, Kedleston Hall, Crich Tramway, and the Derbyshire Peak District. But you really don't need to drive anywhere if you just want to chill out, as there are lots of things to do nearby.

There will always be a warm welcome at The Old Stables. We have a lovely double room available. TV, tea/coffee making facilities and a continental breakfast are provided. You have your own private bathroom, with a large walk in shower & roll top bath. There is great walking, running, fishing, cycling, mountain biking, climbing & golf all on our doorstep with good views from the house of Bamford Edge, Win Hill & Shatton Moor. If you are a group of 3/4, we do have a second room on request.

Easy access to Alton Towers, JCB Rocester, Peak District, Derbyshire Dales, Ashbourne and Uttoxeter. The Duncombe Arms is within walking distance. Use of breakfast room, fridge and microwave. Breakfast includes cereals, orange juice, toast yogurts. Cooked breakfasts by prior arrangement £6.50/head. We provide a friendly and relaxed environment.

This beautifully restored Elizabethan manor house is situated in Riber, a tiny hamlet in the Derbyshire Dales. It is alleged Mary Queen of Scots was detained in Riber Hall. By 1724 the Hall was split it into two halves; here is your opportunity to stay in the hidden secret side of Riber Hall with its deep history and authentic English country charm.

Yeldwood Farm Cottage is a beautiful barn conversion on our farm, just outside Baslow. The self-catering cottage sleeps 2 guests, in a Super-King size (or Twin) master bedroom. The cottage comprises a fully equipped kitchen, dining room, sitting room and bathroom with a large bath and shower. We are ideally situated on the Chatsworth Estate within the Peak District, close to Chatsworth House itself, Haddon Hall, Bakewell, Eyam, Matlock, Castleton, Buxton and Sheffield.

Friar tuck cosy single room in Robin Hood country

A basic, budget option of a single room in my lovely modern home, with use of the newly refurbished family bathroom. I live within 15-20 mins drive from Mansfield and Worksop. Chesterfield, Sheffield and Nottingham can all be reached in less than an hour. Sherwood Forest and Sherwood pines mountain bike trail are less than 10 mins drive, with lots of nice walks in the vicinity. Easy on street parking and a relaxed homely feel.

Ploughmans Cottage

Our newly refurbished self-catering holiday cottage has all the creature comforts to make your stay home from home. The cottage has a double bedroom and a twin bedded room. The kitchen has a dishwasher, gas cooker, microwave and fridge with small freezer compartment. There is also a small utility room with a washing machine. The Cottage has full gas central heating and is available for short breaks or weekly bookings.

Within a five minute drive of Bakewell, and only 10 minutes from Chatsworth, our relaxed home is the perfect base from which to explore the wonderful Peak District.
