Buiten waan je je in een bos aan de rand van de bollenvelden met in de verte uitzicht op de duinen. Binnen in de pipowagen is het sanitair luxe, net als de faciliteiten in de yurt. Welcome to our “bakhuisje”: a national monument from +- 1700. The house is cozy and comfortable; living downstairs, bed is upstairs on the mezzanine. It has a cozy electric fireplace and a comfy couch. The bathroom has everything needed. Kitchenette (without cooking) with small fridge + coffee/tea and a beautiful view (vegetable garden, greenhouse, fruit trees). Of course WiFi and a workplace. Beautiful surroundings for walking/cycling and a small sandy beach in the river at 2 minutes walking.

Park the cars in front of the house (private). The sea is a 15 second walk (4 seconds running). Slightly more when the tide is low. Don’t worry about anything. We got you covered with a fully equipped kitchen, two huge beds, a private green garden, warm outdoor shower, fresh breakfast, cappuccino’s, speedy landline wifi, star roofed bathroom, hanging chair and ‘bolderkar’ for the kids. Good news for all animal lovers: well-behaved dogs are allowed during the winter months (nov - feb).

Our apartment is located on the top floor in one of Alkmaar's most famous buildings. It is the ideal base for exploring the city and the region. Step outside into the picturesque streets and canals and take a walk in the city park around the corner. Discover the historical monuments or visit the cheese market, explore the many boutiques or cafes and restaurants nearby. On the ground floor is the hippest restaurant in Alkmaar with a sunny terrace on the water.

Our beautiful windmill was built on the remains of a medieval castle in 1873. In 2006 the mill was fully renovated. You will have a comfortable stay in the mill which is surrounded by a beautiful garden. Maurik is a charming village, very centrally located between larger cities like Utrecht, Den Bosch, Arnhem and Nijmegen. The area is very suitable for cycling, hiking and swimming.
