The original owner of the Cabin was an author named Catherine Woods. She wrote the very first book on the history of Palomar Mountain; Teepee to Telescope. Wood and Stone, Mid-Century Sanctuary sits down in the forest on a spectacular, private 4-Acre property with nothing but nature as far as the eye can see. Epic views of Mt. San Jacinto Peak, and sunset views towards the ocean will make your troubles fade away. Hand built in 1979 by a master violin maker, and meticulously renovated. This property has a long walkway to the house! Please be prepared for that. Also, included is a brand new hot tub in a truly epic location waiting for you!

Hilltop Lodge off-grid cabin

Selected 2nd best glamping site in the United States by Hipcamp 2023. One of the last remaining undeveloped parts of Southern California, De Luz Heights is located adjacent to the Cleveland National Forest, and the Santa Margarita River (just a few miles from the campsite). On my 80 acres, there are no public roads going through or next to the property.  My land is 13 miles from the Pacific ocean and enjoys a relatively mild yearly climate, and features giant boulders and native wildlife.
