The space features two rooms: The kitchen/living area features an oven, refrigerator, microwave, Keurig (coffee and tea available), TV, and a pull out sofa. The bedroom features a queen bed, a full bath, and a small closet with washer and dryer. Wifi is available, but we recommend ditching the smart phone for the stars and the sunrise.

In case you get lonely, we have 2 friendly dogs always looking for attention. We are about 45 minutes away from the Kansas City airport, Kauffman Stadium, Arrowhead Stadium, the KU main campus. We are 10-15 minutes from the Scheels soccer complex. Overland Park has plenty of Kansas bbq and shopping.

The Bunkhouse sits adjacent to a large body of water. Just 10 miles to Pittsburg and 30 miles to Joplin, MO. Guests can enjoy time outside on the covered porch next to the water, sit around the fire pit on those cool evenings, go for a hike, play a game of pickleball, or enjoy some catch and release fishing from the bank. Come experience our 1940s chicken house turned guesthouse! Includes Wi-Fi, kitchenette, smart TV, and super comfy bed. Even though the Chicken House is a tiny 300 sq ft, windows make it feel open and airy. A futon can accommodate one additional guest. Pack-n-play available upon request. Please note: the bed and ceiling above it are low to the ground. Persons with mobility issues might prefer another property. The location is in our backyard.
