Situated on a quiet country road and bounded on two sides by open fields, with grazing shire horses and Jersey cows, this is the idyllic country retreat. The cottage has been renovated to the highest standard whilst retaining all the charm of its period. The traditional village pub is a few metres away. Breathtaking natural scenery awaits you from the doorway.

Our charming cottage is situated in the hamlet of Newland just 2.3 miles from Ulverston, with pubs, restaurants, and local amenities,. The Lakes are only 15 mins away too. The perfect stay for lovers of the great outdoors, cozy evenings in front of the log burner, or summer evenings in the large garden or BBQ area. The cottage is dog friendly too. Stunning woodland walk ways into Ulverston to the rear of the property, and riverside and beach walks nearby with excellent cycle routes close by

Located just off the main street of Haverigg its the perfect location to explore the beach just around the corner (2min walk) Shop, Chippy and Pub 1 minute walk away. Aqua park and Nature reserve is also close by. We are also a good base for exploring the lake district with Coniston only being a 35min drive. Scafell Pike is close by too with a 45min drive. Located in Swarthmoor, on the outskirts of the beautiful market town of Ulverston, this well equipped cottage is a mile outside the town centre (20 min walk or 5 minute bus ride from the end of the street). It balances the convenience of accessing the town centre but gives a more rural feeling overlooking fields to the front and having the benefit of free on street parking. It is an ideal location for walking & exploring the Lake District & also for those who enjoy a good night out.

The Ravenglass and Eskdale Railway, known locally as “La’al Ratty” is only a ten minute walk from the cottage. Eskdale Stores is open daily. The cottage itself has been recently renovated and has a secure garden with lovely views, ideal dogs.
