Dove Cottage is a former Victorian fishing lodge in a unique setting on the banks of the river Dove. It is situated 3/4 mile from the pretty village of Alstonefield and 5 1/2 miles north of the bustling market town of Ashbourne. The cottage overlooks a tranquil stretch of river running through Wolfscote Dale and a historic former water mill. A riverside footpath passes the bottom of the garden leading north along the river to Hartington and south to Dovedale and the Stepping Stones.

Mount Pleasant Cottage was built in the 1600s and is the oldest residential property in the picturesque village of Monyash. This peaceful Peak District getaway is full of character including original oak beams, a wood-burning stove and stunning views of the surrounding countryside as well as a library of fascinating books.
