Little CastleThis newly remodeled Little Castle is ready for guests. It is conveniently located to Old Town Fredericksburg with easy access to I 95 for DC or Richmond trips. This unique space is listed with the Virginia Department of Historical Resources as "Castle Manor" and provides a private setting and beautiful views of historic Falmouth.
The Tobacco BarnA high-peaked ceiling and exposed-log crossbeams reveal the Tobacco Barn’s past life as a place for hanging tobacco leaves to dry. Now converted to a one-room guest house, it features a front porch swing, cozy fireplace, soapstone floors, a homey sitting area, and a tall, high-post bed. The pressed-tin ceiling and whiskey-barrel sink in the bathroom add to its charm. Pets are allowed and are charged a fee of $25 (first night) and $15 (per ea. add'l night). Maximum two-person occupancy.
Lovely cottage that is wonderful for history buffs to explore many nearby Civil War sites. Chancellorsville, Fredericksburg, the Wilderness, Spotsylvania within minutes. Historian on site. Easy drive from Quantico. About fifty miles from D.C. and Richmond this is an ideal location-not far from wineries, antique shopping, and yet once here you will feel like you are far from the hustle and bustle! Enough room for a family or two couples - dine out or cook in the fully equipped kitchen.
Our house provides a peaceful farm getaway while still offering lots of local attractions. Convenient to wineries, farm markets, the Flying Circus, and Shenandoah National Park. We are a little over a mile from Great Marsh Estate, so this is a great place to stay if you are in town for an event there. We are also a very convenient stop-off for those heading from DC towards the TransAmerica Bike Trail.
Close to Quantico! This house has approximately 2000 square feet of private living space. You will have three bedrooms: a large master with a king bed, and two smaller bedrooms each with a queen plus a sunroom with a futon. There is a master bath and a shared bath. All of this space is on the main level. Since this is where I usually live, you will find everything you need to cook a meal except the groceries.
Need a change of view? Unplug, and relax in this private cottage. Watch for deer, turkeys and maybe even a bear in the field from the sun room, or take a hike around the homestead. Centered in Fauquier's wine country it is ideal for the weekend escape, and day trips West to the mountains, East to DC or points south. Perfect for those extra reunion family members, wedding guest accommodations, or the "Hafeway overnighter" traveling North or South.
*POOL IS OPEN MAY 1-OCT. 1* Located between Quantico, DC, and historic downtown Fredericksburg, this basement suite is ideal for touring the area or visiting your Marine at the Quantico base (it’s about a 15 drive from the entrance to TBS). We are located 10 minutes off of i95 and rt. 1 in a very safe, quiet, gated neighborhood. Great for stopping through on a road trip. We are waterfront on Aquia Creek, which opens to the Potomac River so come use our 2 kayaks and have a fire pit on the dock!
This is a complete renovated old farm house with 3 completely private bedrooms and 2 & 1/2 bath on a 53 acres of breath taking property with 2 ponds. Many activities like trails, fishing (catch and release), boating, target shooting as well as bow & arrow, seasonal hunting, feeding fishes, playing games like corn hole, badminton, etc. There is always something to do at the farm, just sit around the fire pits or the ponds and enjoy the beauties nature offers and forget about the outside noise.
Hanover Cottage offers everything you need to have a wonderful stay in downtown Fredericksburg. It is conveniently located, walking distance to restaurants, bars, art galleries, and shops. Less than two blocks from Sunken Road and the 1862 Civil War battlefield, only 3 miles from I95. Walking distance to/from the VRE/Amtrak train station. Ample street parking is available. We respectfully request smokers not consider booking as smoking is prohibited in the cottage as well as on the property.
Update: We recently added small refrigerator with freezer, microwave oven and a work desk with USB ports. Our home is 7 miles west of I-95 near Fredericksburg in a quiet country setting. There’s an American flag at the end of our paved driveway with ample parking. The room has a comfortable queen bed and a wall mounted TV. Our home was built in 2016 and is smoke and pet free. Shop or dine in Central Park or downtown Fredericksburg before a concert or movie. Civil war battlefields and George Washington's childhood home. Home of Fredericksburg Nationals baseball team. Kings Dominion amusement park is 30 min. away. Close to I95 for a trip to Washington, DC (60 mi) or south to Richmond.
