Nearby multiple wilderness areas, superb mountain stream fishing, small lake fishing, swimming area & beach, wildlife management areas & miles of trails offer tons of natural amenities and outdoor opportunities.

Step back in time with this original 1890s Appalachian solar powered off grid cabin. The cabin has been renovated with all the modern conveniences: solar-powered and includes hot water, gas stove, full bathroom w/ shower, refrigerator, sleeper sofa folds out to queen size bed. With each stay fresh towels and linens are furnished. Kitchen, hot/cold kitchen sink, K cup friendly coffee machine and more! Covered front porch with bench and 2 rockers. Off the porch is a picnic table and gas grill.

A 20' x 12' deck offers space for outdoor relaxing and dining and opens to the yard with fire pit.

The River House is a quiet two story farm house that sits on the South Fork of the Holston River. It is halfway between the trail town of Damascus and historic Abingdon. Enjoy the relaxing wrap around porch where you can hear and see the sights of the river. A short walk from the driveway is the Virginia Creeper Trail, the perfect place to hike, bike, or just walk with family. Fish along the bank of the river or take a short trip to the town of Abingdon to visit the Barter Theatre.
