The Farm Vista

Retreat and unplug in a quite country neighborhood in the heart of Amish country. The covered porch overlooks a farm and you can see a great sunset and often wildlife as well. The apartment itself is a walkout basement with a front entrance and large windows overlooking the farm and field across the road. This apartment offers all the comforts of home with two bedrooms, a pullout sofa bed, large kitchen, living room and bathroom. This retreat provides a chance to unplug and do things together.

A completely furnished apartment in the basement of our log home (our main residence) on 5 acres of woods above beautiful Shavehead Lake. Entrance into the apartment through a screened in porch and double French doors provides privacy and space to relax and enjoy the beautiful outdoor landscape. A large egress window allows natural sunlight into the bedroom on the opposite side of the wall from the kitchen/dining room/living room. The home is just blocks from Elkhart General Hospital and is very convenient to downtown Elkhart, Granger and South Bend. It's less than 15 miles from Notre Dame.

All local tourist places. A few min. from historic downtown Goshen with unique restaurants, breweries, and shops.

Country setting. Apartment above our garage. Attached to our house. No Smoking. No Pets. No Parties. No shared space but with the shared wall, you will here sounds from our space including garage door, voices, kitchen noise, dogs may bark, etc. we try to keep noise levels down but we live here and you may hear us. WiFi in this location is sometimes spotty.

Just I.5 miles off of US Highway 20, the Guesthouse on 29 is the perfect place for relaxing and kicking back. Use it as a hideout from the kids or as the hub for your exploration of Northern Indiana Amish Country.
