Everything you need for a relaxing mountain vacation is here. Our property is located just east of Hendersonville surrounded by horse farms and orchards. Summer and fall are great times to pick apples, blackberries and other fruit. For wine lovers, there are six wineries in our area offering tastings, music and great food. Many of these locations are with 10-15 minutes of the cabin. Local breweries offer craft beer and live music. The shared fire pit is available to enjoy your favorite beverage.

Sophie's Cabin~ A Secluded and Charming Getaway

Sophie's cabin is tucked away in the forest of the gated Riverbend Community. It is a quiet retreat ideally suited for a couple looking to unplug and be in nature. It's both spacious and cozy with a private bedroom, full bathroom, full kitchen, and a comfortable living room. There is a large private deck behind the cabin with a dining set, gas grill, and 2 lounge chairs. A large Ingles grocery is nearby, along with several restaurants. Chimney Rock is closed due to damage from Hurricane Helene.

Classic log cabin has a fabulous view of Lake Lure plus five ranges of the Blue Ridge, Perfect for family time or couples retreat or maybe just a well-deserved get-away. Enjoy extra outdoor privacy from our sundeck, patio and balcony. Each of the three bedrooms has its own full bath, and queen-sized bed plus all bedrooms are located on separate floors.Preparing meals is easy in the fully appointed kitchen with all the necessary appliances and a granite topped island for serving. (BTW No PETS!)

Your privacy without neighbors on either side of you makes this the perfect getaway for family and friends. Directly across from Chimney Rock, you will see the beautiful sunsets, be minutes away from equestrian events, and only a short drive to the beach on Lake Lure. Truth is, once you arrive, you will not want to go anywhere else. The view is simply spectacular!

Our sweet retreat

Our Sweet Retreat sits down hill from the main road. With a private paved parking area. The house sits approximately 12 steps below parking area with large wrap around porch. The main living area is open with vaulted ceiling. There are two bedrooms on the main floor and a full bath . Upstairs is a small loft and master suite with full bath, fireplace & private deck overlooking the lake. There is a large stone fireplace on the North end of the cabin and a covered deck on the lakeside.
