There are two different shelters on the pier where you can relax and enjoy the sunsets. You are driving distance from the state park where you can enjoy hiking. There are several spots around the lake for good fishing. Grocery store, variety store and gas station are near by.

The Empie-Possion Cottage is located in the heart of historic downtown Wilmington, NC. The cottage is three blocks from the water and a 10 minute walk to the heart of downtown. The Empie-Possion cottage was built in 1913 and is expertly restored. Have a drink on the screened in patio in the back or on the historic front porch. Come enjoy a stay where you can truly unwind. It's decorated to help each and every guest feel at home at the beach. The home is within 5 minutes of Sunset Beach. 10 minutes to North Myrtle, Cherry Grove. Both Wilmington and Myrtle Beach are within 40 minutes. There are plenty of restaurants, grocery stores, and bars very near the home as well.

If you love being a short walk to the beach this place is for you! . We provide beach chairs and a cart for your 5 minute walk to beach. Eat in kitchen and you can serve your honey breakfast in bed. Farmers market around the corner in the summer months as well as concerts every Friday night, Tennis courts, pickle ball and splash pad in the same area to cool you off. We offer Wi-Fi and Roku. .
