This 19C Farm labourers cottage is now a stylishly furnished and comfortable home, perfect for couples and a pet. Downstairs is a comfortable sofa and arm chair for lounging in front of the TV and fire. There is a well equipped galley kitchen. Upstairs is the bathroom with shower over bath. Also the bedroom which has a Kingsize) 5ft wide) bed with feather duvet and pillows and crisp White Company sheets. One dog is welcome ( fee applies) with own bed and must not go on furniture or upstairs.

With access to York and the surrounding area, it is a perfect place for a weekend away or a longer stay for business, retreat, escape. There is a bus that runs from just outside to York. They do not run at the weekends during winter and never on a Sunday. There is a train station 3 miles away. Parking is available on the road. There is a shop 2 minutes away. No pets or children.

A short walk to scenic rural woodland and the picturesque riverside. Close to popular wedding venues such as Hazlewood Castle and The Priory wedding barn. Excellent links to Leeds and York. Private parking is available at the property.

Holidaymakers and workers are equally welcome. Parking is on the lane right outside. For those wanting to visit York, the Park and Ride at Askham Bar is 10 minutes away and a better option than parking in York. The Gables is not wheelchair friendly.
