The Saddlery Cottage

Beautiful converted cottage in the grounds of an historic Victorian country house in rural Wales. Wood-burning stove, Wi-Fi, stunning views of the Black Mountains. Perfect for walkers, cyclists, garden-lovers, or horse-riders of all ages. Just 450 yards on a private drive through the estate from a barn which sleeps 8 (see 'Eco-Barn in the Brecon Beacons'). Ideal also for larger gatherings. Dogs welcome; a maximum of two permitted. The cottage is located on a 19th century country house estate of about 10 acres of gardens, lawns and woods. There are three bedrooms - a double ensuite on the ground floor, and two upstairs bedrooms (two doubles, one can be made up as twin beds) that share a large bathroom. A double-height kitchen and an open plan living/dining area with a banquette, a woodburning stove, two large comfy sofas and fabulous views. One side of the cottage looks onto a cobbled stable yard, and the other onto its own garden, then beyond that parkland, Llangorse Lake and the Black Mountains. Fabulous restaurants and farm shops are within a short drive as well as the lake, with boating facilities, beautiful walks out of your front door, and great biking trails. An all-around perfect location for a peaceful holiday in rural Wales. The cottage has its own entrance and parking, also its own garden with a table and chairs. Guests are welcome to explore the grounds of Treberfydd House, and are free to bring up to two pets. My husband and I and our family live a couple of minutes' walk from the Saddlery, and are available to help with any questions guests may have. Completely rural idyll - Perfect for those who want to escape the city and drink in the joys of the countryside. You would need a car to get around. Wellies are recommended, and good walking gear advisable for the hills. Booking is normally for a minimum of three nights. Between November and and March we offer a special rate for a Friday + Saturday booking with a late checkout of 4.30pm on Sunday. Please contact us for details. The Byre @ Nantygwreiddyn Barns

Reconnect with nature and enjoy the spectacular views from our hill farm in the Black Mountains. The historic stone barn has been sympathetically converted into two adjoining cottages. The Byre, with two double bedrooms and The Sheep Pen, a double bedroom with double sofa bed downstairs. Fully self contained with kitchen areas, internet, smart TVs, handy USB sockets in all rooms and bedding and towels provided. Guests have access to our 60 acres of land where we keep rare breed sheep and deer.

Cathedral Town- Historic House - Country Garden

Ideal location for exploring Brecon and the surrounding National Park. A few minutes walk from open country in one direction, and five minutes from the town centre in the other. The cottage, opposite the Cathedral, adjoins one of Brecon's finest Georgian buildings, Grade II listed Priory Hill House, with which it shares a lovely half-acre garden on the banks of the River Honddu, with spectacular views of Pen y Fan. Tastefully furnished with Welsh antiques, a newly equipped kitchen, TV, & Wifi.

Old Byre Barn: Brecon Beacons Historic Cottage

The Old Byre dates back to the 17th Century & forms part of a charming range of historically listed farm buildings at Llandetty Hall Farm, situated in the heart of the stunning Brecon Beacons National Park. The barn is set in 15 acres of private pasture on the Mon Brec canal, between the villages of Talybont on Usk & Llangynidr. The spacious barn boasts a log burner & use of the adjacent communal games barn. It uses electricity created by our solar panels & benefits from underfloor heating.

Spacious 3 bedroom cottage in heart of Beacons

Cwmclyn Canol is a quiet and cozy cottage inside the Bannau Breicheniog National Park with a pub within walking distances and footpaths directly onto Pen Y Fan. The cottage was refurbished in 2022 to a high standard and boasts magnificent mountain views. Additional views include waddling ducks, squabbling chickens and honking geese. Good wifi, TV/DVD, films and a box of games. Kitchen has plenty of everything and there is a log burner in the living room as well as a firepit outside.

Stable Lodge, Pant Glas Farm - Brecon Beacons

The Stables, stylishly renovated is an idyllic cottage hideaway in the heart of the stunning Brecon Beacons National Park. Ideal as a base to explore the Mid Wales lakes and mountains, a romantic weekend, or just to relax. Just 10 minutes from the town of Brecon with its historic cathedral, yet only an hour from Cardiff; the cultural hub of Wales. The local village; a few minutes away is convenient with it's garages & convenience stores and pubs. Well behaved dogs welcome to stay.

Chicken house dome

Cromen Tŷ Cyw Iâr (Chicken house dome). A slated dome is a unique building, this one looks down the Honddu and Usk valleys and you can see for 25 miles from the star window looking South East. I have reused materials as much as possible in its construction. The original henhouse was rebuilt to create the private bathroom alongside and contains a hot shower, w.c. and basin. I have created a special place for visitors to stay with their own private piece of rural Wales to enjoy.

Duck Cottage - Brecon Canal

Duck Cottage is a cosy house sat on the Brecon – Monmouth Canal. The property is shared with the duck squatters who frequent the garden. The property is perfectly positioned within Brecon town and all bedrooms have a canal view. Ideally situated with several local pubs, restaurants and supermarkets nearby (all within walking distance) while also centrally located for outdoor activities nearby on the canal and within the Brecon Beacons Park. Granary 1 is set around a courtyard with two other properties and opposite The Old Barn Tearoom. The Taff Trail runs past the main gate and Pen y Fan is within walking distance. The property is in the heart of the Brecon Beacons National Park between the Iron Heritage town of Merthyr and Brecon. There is walking and biking from the front door, the Brecon Mountain Railway and Bike Park Wales are also close at hand.
