Just 100 feet from the GAP and C&O Canal trails, and an easy walk to downtown historic Cumberland with restaurants, cafés, shops, and the train station. Jacob's Cottage

Free WI-FI now available. Our place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers and families (with kids). The Cottage is a quaint, Cape Cod style house built in 1950. It sits high on a hill in the heart of Maryland's Appalachian Mountains in Allegany County. It is surrounded by views of Wills Mountain and Shrivers Ridge. The Cottage sits amongst a 660 acre family managed forest. Visitors have spotted deer, turkey, rabbits, squirrels, black bear and a multitude of song birds.

Oldtown Schoolhouse. C&O Canal Lock 70.

The space is an open concept classroom inside of an old school 500 yards from the C&0 Canal Lock 70. Guests of Lock 70 Schoolhouse enjoy the entire space of this open concept which includes 1 King Bed, 2 Bunk Beds, and a fully stocked coffee bar area with a microwave, water cooler and refrigerator and internet. A private bathroom with a hot shower awaits after your long day on the trail. Also housed in the school is a restaurant and a small store (owned by a separate party, closed on Mondays.)

Mountain Maryland's private cabin retreat is a completely renovated 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom getaway perfect for up to two guests. The peaceful wooded surroundings with walking paths to the property's creek will bring you relaxation and peace. Only minutes from Frostburg's small town attractions, Frostburg State University campus, downtown entertainment, shopping, local area hiking trails and state parks! Martha's Cabin is a perfectly tucked away yet with everything you need nearby.

Cyclists dream come true! The Cumberland Street House is less than a quarter mile from the Great Allegheny Passage - perfect for large groups! All of Cumberland's charm within walking distance. Downtown restaurants and shops only a half a mile away. Historic district, Cumberland Theatre & Western Maryland Scenic Railroad are just around the corner. Bikes can easily be stowed in the back room off the kitchen. Easy parking, and fenced-in yard is great for kids and pooches.

This cottage is also within 3 miles of C&O Canal, 17 miles from Historical Romney, 15 miles to Cumberland, MD and 10 miles to the Paw Paw, WV tunnel. 2 kayaks and 1 canoe available for river excursions. Stay in a quiet setting as you explore Cumberland, MD. Enjoy a day trip on the nearby, scenic, steam train. Bike the Gap and C&O trail, minutes away. Explore the restored historic downtown with shopping and restaurants. This space is not suitable for small children or those with mobility concerns. No large groups or parties. Bedroom doors are louvered doors. See pictures. Research city and area if you are unfamiliar with economic conditions. We have a bike rack for 3 bikes.

This 1800s Duplex home has tons of charm & comfort! Close to Main street charm n shops and all that it offers. Original wood floors. Snacks & coffee for your enjoyment. Close to GAP trail n fantastic scenic views. Please NO LOUD noises after 10pm. ABSOLUTELY NO SMOKING inside our home in consideration of future guests We love animals but unfortunately they are not generally allowed. Exterior cameras for everyones security, front and back.
