Our open plan Portacottage provides a comfortable and relaxing stay. As well as the basics to make you feel more than at home, we are also able to cater for your most loved pet providing they can sleep outside. We also have paddocks to accommodate horses. (Summer months only) There is lots to see and do, Ollie the horse loves carrots, the cats may come and visit, calves need patting and at times we have sheep and lambs to play with. We offer breakfast when stays are for a minimum of two nights.

D6 is a self-contained unit in the Wataki Lakes Apartments on the Alps to Ocean cycle trail, in the middle of the Waitaki Whitestone UNESCO Global Geopark & abutting the Aoraki Mackenzie International Dark Sky Reserve. Views of Mt Totara. Over the golf course is Lake Aviemore, popular for boating, with many walks nearby. Hot dry summers, crisp sunny autumn & spring, cold snowy winters. Otematata's population is 200, swelling to 5000 in summer. It is on the road between Oamaru & Omarama.

The lawn is mowed around you, past the mown area are trees and long grass...... Quail, rabbits, mice, birds, possums, spiders are all happy here. You have access to a long stretch of river frontage, good fishing, and a lovely swimming hole. Right next to the cycle trail with walks by the river, no wifi or t.v

Take it easy at this tranquil getaway. Beautifully presented, the unit overlooks Otematata golf course, surrounded by mountains. Lake Aviemore and Lake Benmore are a 5 minute drive. The Wetlands Walkway and the Alps 2 Ocean cycle trail are on the doorstep. This is a one bedroom unit with a queen bed and free parking. The kitchenette is fully equipped with a portable stove top. A pay laundry is close by. Dogs are welcome guests. The views from ‘The Pad’ are simply breathtaking.

Otemata lakeside apartments is a newly developed complex in the centre of the waitaki lakes district. Nestled in the heart of Otematata and on the trail for alps to ocean bike ride. On your doorstep is two beautiful lakes used for fishing, boating, swimming, picnics & relaxing. Otematata is a great place to have a base camp with wanaka, mount cook, tekapo all within 2 hours of a scenic drive away. Twizel, Oahu skifeld, and the well known wrinkly ram in omarama 20 minutes away

Unit A5, Waitaki Lakes Apartments is a one bedroom fully serviced apartment in idyllic surroundings on the edge of the Otematata Golf Course with the Alps2Ocean cycle trail, walking trails and wetland areas nearby. The apartment has been refurbished with a new kitchenette & bathroom, double glazing and interior upgrade. Please note that I am not on site but please message anytime if you have any queries or need anything. This is our holiday home so please be mindful of this.

A true kiwi crib in the tranquil lakeside town of Otematata. With simple home comforts, character & charm, this house was originally built to house workers building the incredible Benmore dam. Just a one minute walk to cafes, shops and the town centre, this three bedroom (2 rooms with queen beds and one bunk - double bed with single on top) is family friendly or great for those on the bike trails. A nice large kitchen and comfortable lounge with TV, Wi-Fi, fireplace and a large heat pump that heats the whole house. The garage can be available on request for E-bike charging.
