I am semi-retired. I live in the mountains and keep this flat for my part time work. I love midtown and this flat!
I have a long history of hosting travelers. Growing up, we had exchange students and short term visitors continually. My father would often come home from a business trip with a young couple in tow whom he’d met on the plane. (My mother was very flexible.) Most recently, I let out a room to a young man from out of town who was dancing in West Side Story. I didn’t get any free tickets (darn!) but had some fabulous conversations with this fellow, who got his start on “So You Think You Can Dance.” He left me a handmade scarf as a gift. I still follow him on (website hidden).
Sharing what I have with others comes naturally to me. Being a baby-boomer (read: old hippie) this is what we used to do “back in the day”. It only seems right to let folks enjoy my flat when I am not there and I appreciate this win-win situation. I am originally from Berkeley, California, but raised my family here and love living in Sacramento and in the foothills.
